• Jul–Oct 2007: SHWB coordinating committee proceeds with plans for workshop
• Sep 2007: CSPR agreed on final ToR, established programme Planning Group and approved plans for a workshop co-organised with the Scientific Unions
• Nov 2007: Planning Group Members and workshop participants invited
• 25–26 Jan 2008: two-day Workshop, IIASA, Vienna
• 27–28 Jan 2008: 1st Planning Group meeting
• 17–19 Jun 2008: 2nd Planning Group meeting
• Oct 2008: Interim report to the ICSU General Assembly
• 2009–10: Continue planning (3 meetings)
• 2011: consult with Members; final report to CSPR and publication
• Sept 2011: General Assembly approves establishment of a 10 year initiative
• Oct. 2011: Publication of Health and Wellbeing in the Changing Urban Environment: a Systems Analysis Approach. An Interdisciplinary Science Plan
