On 10 December, 2011, Sálvano Briceño, Chair of ICSU's Interdisciplinary Body Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR), gave a lecture on vulnerability to natural hazards and disaster risk reduction at the Geography Institute of UNAM.
Kerstin Schmidt-Verkerk attended the event on behalf of ICSU ROLAC to strengthen relations between IRDR, the Geography Institute of UNAM and ICSU ROLAC and to discuss future ways of collaboration in the context of ICSU ROLAC's priority area natural hazards.
