ICSU LAC Regional Committee Meetings (RCLAC)
Since 2007, the Regional Committee and the Regional Office (ROLAC) meet twice a year to discuss the implementation of the Science Plans of the four scientific priority areas.
The Regional Committee provides advise about the strategic approach of the future activities of the Regional Office and evaluates the progress of its work.
The role of the Regional Committee is to function as an advisory board to ROLAC. In addition, it examines the performance of ROLAC for the accomplishment of their developed strategic approach.
ROLAC is in charge of implementing the decisions of the Regional Committee. On the other hand, ROLAC provides information about its activities and the financial budget to the Committee; ROLAC currently receives financial support from the Mexican Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT) and ICSU headquarters.
