First Anniversary of ICSU ROLAC in Mexico City

On 1 March, 2012, ICSU ROLAC celebrated its first anniversary at the premises of the Mexican Academy of Sciences (AMC) in Mexico City.

In early 2011, ICSU ROLAC had been relocated to Mexico City following the completion of the three-year agreement with the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. The new offices on the premises of the Mexican Academy of Sciences were officially inaugurated on 1 March, 2011.

The Director of the Regional Office, Manuel Limonta, thanked the National Council on Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACyT) and the Mexican Academy of Sciences for their contribution, which made the move of ICSU ROLAC to Mexico possible. On behalf of the Regional Office, Manuel Limonta expressed his gratitude to Arturo Menchaca, President of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, and to all staff of the Academy for their hospitality and support over the past year.

Visit the website of the Mexican Academy of Sciences for further information of this event (in Spanish).
