The workshop brought together more than 60 natural scientists, social scientists and engineers representing more than 20 countries from across the Latin America and the Caribbean Region, with high level policy-makers and representatives of other stakeholder groups.lac brochure front cover image

The workshop addressed the main themes of Rio+20:

  • green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication;
  • the institutional framework for sustainable development;
  • new and emerging challenges.
