Humberto Rodriguez is Physicist, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Materials Science for Nuclear Reactors. He worked for 4 years during the seventies as a researcher at the Nuclear Research Centre Juelich in Germany. He served for 25 years at the National University of Colombia in Bogota, where he retired in 2003 as Professor Emeritus.
He has co authored over 250 technical reports, technical and scientific articles and scientific books. He has received the distinction of Universitary Teacher and the Distinguished Services to the National University. The Globe Energy Award in 2007 for his work in El Salvador in a program of United Nations, Government of Finland and the Japanese Fund - Inter-American Development Bank.
He is a consultant on renewable energy, mainly solar and wind energy (evaluation of potential technical and economic assessment of renewable energy projects), Rational Use of Energy and Climate Change projects with emphasis on Reducing Emissions of Greenhouse Gases.
Currently, he is an independent consultant and in recent years has served the World Bank, Interamerican Development Bank, United Nations Program for Development Cooperation Agency of the German Government, GTZ, and energy agencies of several governments in Latin America (Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Dominican Republic and Peru).
