Professor José Luis Morán-López from Mexico graduated in Physics from the University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP). He studied a master in Theoretic Physics in the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and a Ph in Berlin. Afterwards, he went to Berkeley, California for a Post-doctoral stage. He directed the Scientific and Technologic Research Institute of San Luis Potosí (IPICYT) and taught in the Physics Department of Cinvestav Mexico. Also, he was the founding president of the Surface and Emptiness Sciences Mexican Society. As well, he is part of the Presidency Consultative Council. The Professor won the Guggenheim grant, the Exact Sciences National Award, the “Manuel Noriega Morales" award in Exact Sciences, the International Centre for Theoretical Physics award, the research scholarship “Alexander von Humboldt", the “Marcos Moshinsky” medal, the Sciences and Arts National award, and the TWAS medal. He has published more than 180 scientific papers, articles, and journal contributions. He has been involved in more than 12 books and more than 200 congresses.
