Visit to Irasema Alcántara, Director of Geography Institute, UNAM
On Friday, 8th April 2011 Manuel Limonta and Kerstin Schmidt-Verkerk visited Irasema Alcántara Ayala, Director of the Institute of Geography of the Mexican National Autonomous University (UNAM) in Mexico City, regional contact point of the International Geographical Union, and member of the ICSU Committee on Strategic Planning and Review (CSPR)
During the meeting, potential avenues of collaboration between ICSU ROLAC and UNAM were discussed.
Synergies between the Institute of Geography at UNAM and ICSU ROLAC might lead to a future workshop in this area.
Furthermore, a potential collaboration between UNAM, ICSU ROLAC, and the International Geographical Union was welcomed.
