Mathematics and science are primary sources of a lifelong learning and progress for civilizations. In latin America and the caribbean, children are not being taught at the level they will need to live their lives and work productively.
The book "Mathematics Education in Latin America and the Caribbean: A reality to be transformed", emphasizes the urgent task of improving mathematical skills in children of Latin America.
