International Science Forum in Budapest

Manuel Limonta represented ICSU ROLAC at the International Science Forum in Budapest from 16 to 17 November 2011.

In 1999, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Council for Science (ICSU), in co-operation with other partners, initiated a unique forum for a much-needed debate between the scientific community and society: The International Science Forum.

The International Science Forum's main objective is to raise world-wide  awareness toward the role of knowledge and its impact in society.

Manuel Limonta was one of the key speakers in the 2011 Forum. During his speech, he highlighted the importance of biodiversity to science and research.
