Biodiversity policy brief now available
The Policy Brief is the result of an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation on the relationship between biodiversity and human well-being in Latin America and the Caribbean, which gathered the perspectives of different social actors in a workshop held in April 2009 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as joint initiative from DIVERSITAS, DiverSus and the ICSU Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, with the collaboration of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) and the Rio de Janeiro Bothanical Gardens.
The goal of the Policy Brief Biodiversity and human well-being in Latin America and the Caribbean A multi-sectoral contribution to the science-policy interface is to provide resource managers and decision makers with a synthesis of the priority problems and paths of action that were identified during this process.
Printed versions in English and Spanish are being distributed to all ICSU National Members and high authorities in science and technology and in environment in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The reports are available for download in the Publications section.
