Contributions of the scientific community to the development of the Sustainable Development Goals
Sep 25, 2015 This weekend, the governments of the world, after a three-year preparatory process, will adopt the final set of seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that will determine the course of international development efforts in developed and developing countries alike for the next fifteen years. Throughout the process, ICSU and its partner organizations have continuously pushed for a sound scientific basis for these goals and a strong role for science in their implementation.
Science International to agree international accord on open data Sep 30, 2015
Science International is a new coalition of the major international science bodies – ICSU, the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), and the International Social Science Council (ISSC) – to bring its members’ combined international representation and credibility to act as a single global voice for science in the international policy arena. At its first meeting, to be held from 7-9 December in Pretoria, South Africa, the participating institutions will discuss the topic of big data/open data.

Expressions of interest are thought for this workshop that aims at bridging this information gap by enabling communication and dialogue between modelers and policy/decision makers in the field of urban health. The workshop will take place on 28-29 April 2016 in Xiamen, China.
