For the first time the WCRP research community that includes the world’s experts on climate variability and change, will appraise the current state of climate science and discuss the best ways to transfer this scientific knowledge to the society at large for adaptation, mitigation and risk management. This conference will make a measurable scientific contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report of IPCC.
