The International Council for Science Regional Office for Africa (ICSU ROA) and the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Nairobi Office organised the RIO+20 Regional Workshop for Africa from the 30th of May to 1st of June 2011, Pretoria, South Africa. It must be noted that these recommendations were drafted by the central committee of the ICSU-UNESCO Rio+20 Regional Science and Technology Workshop for Africa. The recommendations were made in good faith and looking forward to a very successful Rio+20 Conference as well as implementation of programmes that will derive from it.
