Future Earth Regional Workshop for Africa

The International Council for Science, with financial support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) organised the Future Earth Regional Workshop for Africa, which was held in Cape Town, South Africa on 31 October – 02 November 2012. The workshop brought together about 50 global environmental change scientists from within and outside Africa. It provided a platform for these scientists and other stakeholders working on global environmental change research across disciplines to discuss and elaborate recommendations for the development of Future Earth on the continent.
