Applications for Scholarships
As part of the Australian Government's increasing engagement and commitment in Africa, the Australia Awards in Africa (AAA) initiative promotes development in Africa through a large-scale program of development scholarships and fellowships across a range of fields, notably Mining and Natural Resource Management, as well as Agriculture and Food Security, Health, Public Policy and Water and Sanitation.
AAA offers study opportunities at post-graduate level to professionals from eligible African countries. The scholarships are offered at Masters Level, for PhD studies in Agriculture, and for short professional development courses ("Short Course Awards") of up to 3 months in specialised fields.
Applications for the next round of scholarships opened on September 2012, and close on the following dates:
Short Course Awards for 2013: Closing date 30 November 2012
Long-Term Awards (Masters-level Awards) for 2014: Closing date 14 December 2012
Long-Term Awards (PhD Agriculture) for 2014: Closing date 31 March 2013
