Workshop on Food Security in an Urbanizing World
Under the joint sponsorship of System for Analysis, Research and Training (START), the International Council for Science, Regional Office for Africa (ICSU ROA), International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) initiative, Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD) is organising a 3-day workshop on Food security in an urbanizing world at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 20 to 22 March, 2013.

The Workshop will bring together experts from Africa, Asia and Latin America will focus on identifying research needs and methodological approaches for addressing knowledge gaps related to urban food security under the changing climate, with specific attention to food-insecure groups in urban arears. It aims to encourage close-learning among researches from different regions whose perspectives reflect finding of recent work on the issues and to develop ideas for new research activities and networking opportunities.
