Our offices & staff

The main ICSU Secretariat is based in Paris (20 staff in 2012) and ensures the day-to-day planning and operations under the guidance of an elected Executive Board. From time-to-time, individuals are seconded to ICSU from Members and join the secretariat for periods of between three months and three years. ICSU also has arrangements with partner organisations and some Members, whereby a staff member works on joint activities and is shared between the organisations.

ICSU has three Regional Offices—serving Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean—with their own secretariat that is staffed locally (for more information see the appropriate pages in this section).
