Governance
ICSU is responsible to its General Assembly (GA) in accordance with the Statutes and Rules of Procedure.
An elected Executive Board (EB) of six Officers and eight Ordinary Members is responsible for implementing the decisions of the GA.
The Officers of ICSU are:
- President
- Vice-President for Scientific Planning and Review
- Vice-President for External Relations
- Secretary-General
- Treasurer
- Past-President or President-Elect
The Officers are responsible for the day-to-day affairs of ICSU between meetings of the Executive Board.
Assisting the Board are a number of policy, advisory and ad hoc Committees that address research and policy objectives.
