GEO Ministerial Summit

ICSU attended the Fourth GEO Plenary and Ministerial Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, 28–30 November.

The Ministerial Summit on 30 November considered the progress report The First 100 Steps to GEOSS and adopted the Cape Town Declaration.

ICSU, in cooperation with CODATA, DIVERSITAS and WCRP, had a dedicated exhibition stand throughout the meeting. ICSU’s message focused on the links between interdisciplinary research, observations and assessment, and their influence on policy-making.
